Came here to get some Goetta to bring home on the plane. Also decided to get their Goetta egg and cheese sandwiches. Their sandwiches was delicious. Sadly, I live out of state so it'll be a while before I can get another one of those. This is such a great place to get meat or bones or even grab some lunch. It has been a while since I've been to Cincinnati, but this is definitely a must stop if you live there or are visiting. The staff are friendly and will be happy to answer any questions that you may have.

A big thank you to Eckerlin Meats at Findlay Market for being such a fantastic neighbor! Your steak burgers with homemade fries are absolutely delicious, and your breakfast sandwiches and selection of fine meats are second to none. Supporting a local butcher like you is so important, and I'm proud to do so often. Best of luck with your new home location opening soon at Findlay Market --I'm sure it'll be just as amazing!

I still daydream about the goetta, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. S-tier magic. A fresh bun upon which a generous, 1/4"+ slice of goetta, perfectly cooked, resides along with an egg of perfect running runniness and cheese of perfect meltiness. I unfortunately can't speak to any of the other offerings here, but do yourself a favor and come here for breakfast.

Can you give 6 stars? Relocated into a long term temporary location, Eckerlin's is still the best. It may even be better because of a larger sitting area. The old style butcher offers an array of delicious options. The Goetta, Egg and Cheese sandwich is AMAZING! The staff is helpful and friendly.

Great local meat shop where you can also get a hot meal. My sister told me to go to Eckerlin's Meats for breakfast and get the goetta. When my sister makes such a specific recommendation, I do what she says. We wandered around Findlay Market only to find out that Eckerlin's had moved out of the actual market and across the street (to a bigger store). We got there around 9am on a Saturday, and we were able to order almost right away. We ordered a goetta, egg and cheese sandwich and a bratwurst. You order at the counter, but the food is served out of a window in the walkway between the meat shop and the bar in back. Our food took about 10 minutes, and it was wrapped up so we could take it to go or eat in. There are seats in the bar (kids are allowed) and a few tables on the street in front. The goetta is softer than I expected but nicely seasoned. I enjoyed it. The kids liked their sausage sandwich. My sister ended up joining us a bit later, and I went back to the meat shop to order her sandwich. At that point, the store was full of customers ordering food for the long weekend. I think I waited over 20 minutes to order, but the food came out in less than 10 minutes. Definitely try to get there early on the weekend to avoid the crowd, but do go!

First meal in Cincinnati and we are IN LOVE! We went to Findlay Market for lunch today in search of some goetta, and the good folks at the information booth there (lovely people) recommended Eckerlin's, so off we went. It's across the street and you walk into a market filled with meat and absolute salt of the earth people working behind the counter. You order in the front and then mosey your way to the back where there is plenty of seating and a bar, where we got a couple of local beers (Cincy Light!) and had a lovely conversation with a table next to us. The goetta is phenomenal! We got a single slice of it as well as the famed egg and cheese sandwich. The meal itself is so good in its simplicity and we have such an appreciation for the level of saltiness, which was perfect (thank you for not being afraid to use salt!). The sandwich was 5/5: the texture of the meat paired well with the softness of the egg and the bread component was sturdy. Our daughter was very happy with her hot dog as well. What an absolutely wonderful place with good food and good service. We love it so much that we went back to the Findlay Market people to tell them how wonderful of an experience we had, and then we ended up chatting with them for a while and got a couple more recommendations for the city. Anyway, if this is Cincinnati, then we are here for it! Couldn't recommend Eckerlin's more enthusiastically.

Their pepper goetta is the absolute best goetta ever. Their recipe is truly superior. Everyone in the store is nice and helpful. They have a wide selection of meats. There is a bar in the back you can order food and get some drinks. The front can be a little chaotic on busy days but they manage the crowds well.

Can't believe it took me so long to get to Eckerlin's Meats! I have lived in Cincy for 8 years and only went in for the first time today. The space is really neat. There is a meat counter, a fridge with cold products, and a menu hanging on the back wall for hot food you can order. You pick up your food down a back hallway and through a window. It's pretty neat. I went in to the shop because I was walking by around lunch time and saw they had a Lent Lunch Special-- fried fish sandwich for $8. Turns out, it's actually 2 sandwiches! An amazing deal. I also got a bag of homemade BBQ pork cracklings. The food was all great! The sandwich was perfect and the cracklings were some of the best I ever had. I am actually snacking on them as I write this. I wish I would've gotten more. I also snagged a few sausages to make for dinner this week-- Cincinnati Chili and Who Dey flavored. Parking wasn't bad as there is plenty on the street and it's really cheap. The staff were super welcoming and friendly. 10/10 will be back. I want to try some of their breakfast sandwiches!

First time in Cinci, so of course had to check out the iconic Goetta! I went for the sandwich, and my wife got the bacon sandwich and also some fries for the little guy. Goetta sandwich was amazing, fresh soft bun and all. She enjoyed the thick bacon sandwich and we all liked the seasoned fries. Of course I bought about 8 slices of Goetta to bring back home too- it's almost gone and I'm panicking! I've been around Scottish food for my whole life, and Goetta gives haggis vibes but is much easier to eat often, especially for breakfast, or lunch or dinner! Lol Service was friendly and helpful to us Cinci rookies too!

A real simple review for a real simple sausage, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. It's delicious. Stop by and try one the next time you're visiting Findlay Market. The end.
